Nagpur: A brutal murder in broad daylight shocked the State’s Second Capital on Saturday, triggering panic in the area just weeks before the Winter Session scheduled in December. The incident has once again pushed Nagpur’s crime situation into the spotlight.

Around 2:15 pm, an unidentified man was stabbed to death by an armed assailant in Yashodharanagar. Police rushed to the location immediately after receiving the alert. The body has been sent for autopsy, while efforts are on to establish the victim’s identity.

Yashodharanagar Police Inspector Ramesh Khune and DCP Zone 5 Niketan Kadam visited the spot and reviewed the crime scene. Police teams have begun a technical and on-ground investigation to track down the accused.

The horrific stabbing created sensation and fear in the vicinity, with residents expressing concern over rising violent incidents in the city.
