Nagpur: Jaripatka Police have registered a case of accidental death after an unidentified man, believed to be between 35 and 40 years old, was found critically injured near Kamla Pharmacy at Ved Nagar on Nara Road on Friday evening.

Between 7.30 pm and 8 pm, a vigilant citizen informed police that the man reportedly fell from a two-wheeler that was carrying three people. The rider allegedly fled the scene, leaving the injured man behind in an unconscious state.

Police rushed the victim to Mayo Hospital, where he was declared dead during treatment. The man was wearing a black shirt and cement-coloured pants and stood around 5 ft 5 inches tall. His identity has not yet been established.

Jaripatka Police have registered an accidental death report based on medical opinion, and PSI Sachin Khutwad is investigating further. The police have urged relatives of the deceased to contact Jaripatka Police Station.
