Nagpur: In a swift joint operation, the Crime Branch, Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU), successfully traced and rescued a 15-year-old girl who had gone missing from the Kalamna area on July 16.
According to police, the minor left her home without informing anyone after a disagreement with her father. When she failed to return, a case under Section 137(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita was registered at Kalamna Police Station, suspecting abduction.
On July 18, acting on credible intelligence, authorities discovered that the girl was staying at a friend’s residence. She was safely recovered, counseled, and handed back to Kalamna Police for further legal procedures.
The operation was executed under the guidance of Police Commissioner Ravindra Kumar Singal, Joint CP Navin Chand Reddy, Additional CP (Crime) Vasant Pardeshi, DCP Rahul Makanikar, and ACP Abhijeet Patil, with PI Lalita Todase and her team leading the action.
