Nagpur: In a historic development for Indian railways, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to launch 10 new Vande Bharat trains on September 15, marking a major step towards improving connectivity across multiple states. The inauguration, which will take place from Jamshedpur, Jharkhand, will be the first time 10 trains are simultaneously flagged off. This move is expected to significantly enhance travel infrastructure, offering faster and more efficient transport options to passengers.
Among the 10 new routes, the much-anticipated Pune-Nagpur Vande Bharat train will connect two of Maharashtra’s major cities, providing a quicker and more comfortable option for passengers traveling between the regions. This route is particularly important as it links Maharashtra's industrial hub with its second capital.
Key Vande Bharat Train Routes:
1. Tatanagar-Patna: This train will connect key cities in Jharkhand and Bihar, including Ranchi, Bokaro, and Gaya.
2. Varanasi-Deoghar: This route will enhance connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand with stops in Dhanbad, Asansol, and Jasidih.
3. Tatanagar-Brahmapur: Linking Jharkhand and Odisha, this train will stop at Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, and Balasore.
4. Ranchi-Godda: Connecting Ranchi to Godda, this train will pass through Dumka, Deoghar, and Bhagalpur.
5. Agra-Banaras: This route from Uttar Pradesh's Agra to Banaras will stop at Kanpur, Lucknow, and Prayagraj.
6. Howrah-Gaya: Passengers will benefit from improved connectivity between West Bengal and Bihar, with stops in Dhanbad and Asansol.
7. Howrah-Bhagalpur: Another key route in West Bengal and Bihar, with major stops in Bardhaman, Sahibganj, and Malda Town.
8. Durg-Visakhapatnam: This train will connect Chhattisgarh and Andhra Pradesh, stopping at Raipur, Bilaspur, and Koraput.
9. Hubli-Secunderabad: Linking Karnataka and Telangana, this train will pass through Raichur, Kurnool, and Anantapur.
