Nagpur: Kalamna Police arrested one accused after a 27-year-old youth was brutally assaulted and killed with sharp weapons and sticks in the Wanjra area of Nagpur.

Police said they received information at around 6.55 pm on April 24 that a man was lying seriously injured near Madani Chowk, Kach Company, Diamond Nagar, Wanjra.

Upon reaching the spot, officers found Roshan Dharamsing Uikey (27), a resident of the same locality, with severe injuries on the neck, stomach and face.

He was rushed to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.

CCTV Footage Helped Identify Accused

Police reviewed CCTV footage and conducted local inquiries, which revealed that four accused had allegedly attacked the victim over an unknown dispute.

The accused were identified as:

• Javed alias Lal Shakeel Ansari (22)
• Shahbaz Zaheer Khan (25)
• Salman (21)
• Sultan (22)

One Held, Search for Others Continues

Based on a complaint filed by police personnel, Kalamna Police registered a murder case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police have arrested Javed alias Lal, while efforts are underway to trace the remaining accused.
