Nagpur: The District and Sessions Court, on Monday, ordered Ritika alias Ritu Maloo to be sent for three-days police custody remand (PCR) in connection with the Ram Jhula hit-and-run case.
This decision came following a hearing on the revision petition filed by the prosecution, challenging the earlier rejection of police custody remand by Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) Archana Khedkar-Garad.
The hearing, which took place today, saw the prosecution argue the need for police custody to further investigate Maloo’s role in the incident. The court accepted the prosecution's plea, overturning the initial decision and granting a 3-day PCR for Maloo.
The Ram Jhula hit-and-run case continues to garner attention due to its legal proceedings and the controversial nature of the incident.
