Nagpur: A 58-year-old man was apprehended by Mankapur Police for allegedly molesting a 2.5-year-old girl. The incident reportedly occurred between 2 PM and 4 PM on January 31, 2025, when the victim was playing in the courtyard outside her house.

The accused, identified as Pradeep Govindrao Devkate, allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior with the minor. Based on a complaint filed by the victim’s father, Mankapur Police registered a case under Section 74 of the BNS and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

The police arrested the accused and initiated further investigation into the case.
