Nagpur: The Jayotsute Foundation is set to host a grand Dahi Handi and Gopalkala celebration on Wednesday, August 28, near the Kotwali Police Station in Mahal, as part of the Krishna Janmashtami festivities. The event will commence at 6 p.m.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will preside over the celebration, with renowned actress Nishigandha Wad serving as the chief guest. Other prominent attendees include Maharashtra BJP President Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Praveen Datke, BJP Nagpur President Jitendra Kukde, MLA Krishna Khopde, Sanghchalak Sudhir Daptari, BJP Regional Vice President Sanjay Bhende, and former MLA Girish Vyas.
The Dahi Handi competition will feature teams from both Nagpur and other regions, promising an exciting display of skill and teamwork. Event organizer Harshal Upgade has extended an invitation to the public, urging citizens to join the festivities in large numbers.
