Nagpur: A college student was brutally murdered on Friday night following a heated argument in the Pardi area under the jurisdiction of Pardi Police Station. The incident took place between 7.30 pm and 7.45 pm near the Takdir Ice Cream Shop, sending shockwaves through the locality.
According to police, Harshal Sanjay Ramteke (21), a resident of Padole Nagar, Wathoda Road, and his friend Noor Nawaz Hussain (21), a resident of Durga Nagar, Pardi, were called by their acquaintance Khileshwar Rameshwar Bisen (19) for a meeting. When the two arrived, Bisen and his friends — Annu alias Anas Ahmed (19), Pratik alias Aditya Karandekar (19), Pravin Pandey (20), and a juvenile accomplice — confronted them over an old dispute.
The group started abusing and assaulting the duo. During the scuffle, Anas Ahmed allegedly stabbed Noor Hussain in the abdomen with a knife, causing grievous injuries. The accused then fled the scene. Hussain was rushed to Bhawani Hospital and later shifted to Mayo Hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Based on a complaint filed by Ramteke, a case was registered at Pardi Police Station under relevant sections of the BNS, including murder and criminal conspiracy. Acting swiftly, police traced and arrested the four accused within hours of the crime.
The investigation is being conducted by PSI Charulkar, and efforts are underway to locate the juvenile involved in the attack.
