Nagpur: A cop attached to Wadi Police Station was found dead at his house here on Friday, February 7.

The deceased has been identified as Hemraj Jichkar.

According to police sources, Jichkar was discovered hanging from the ceiling at his residence. The exact reason behind him taking the extreme step is yet to be determined.

Cops have registered a case of accidental death and launched an investigation into the matter.

This incident marks the third suicide by a cop this year alone. In January, two cops attempted suicide. While one succumbed, doctors were able to save the other.
