Burglary in Hingna: Gold, Silver, and Cash Worth ₹3.37 Lakh Stolen from Locked House

Nagpur: Unidentified burglars decamped with gold, silver ornaments, and cash worth ₹3.37 lakh from a locked house in Rui village under Hingna Police Station limits, taking advantage of the family’s absence.


According to reports, complainant Sangeeta Hitesh Thorat (35) had locked her residence in Ward No. 2, Rui village, and gone to Amravati with her family between October 23 and October 30. Upon returning, she found the main door lock and latch broken and valuables missing from a steel cupboard in her bedroom.


The stolen property includes cash of ₹50,000 and jewellery worth ₹2.87 lakh, taking the total loss to ₹3.37 lakh. Based on her complaint, police have registered an FIR under relevant sections of the BNS pertaining to housebreaking and theft.


Investigations are underway to trace the unidentified burglars and recover the stolen valuables.
