Nagpur: In a late-night burglary incident, unidentified thieves broke into Sai Jewellers at Bazaar Chowk, Gumgaon, near Taj Hotel in Hingna and made away with valuables and cash worth over ₹5.15 lakh.

According to the complaint filed by Sahil Shamkumar Verma (25), a resident of Kuhi, the theft occurred between 2 am and 3.30 am on November 11. The culprits forcibly bent the shutters of his jewellery shop and an adjoining establishment to gain entry. They stole gold beads, stones, silver ornaments, ₹10,000 in cash, and the CCTV DVR. Additionally, ₹12,400 was looted from the neighbouring shop.

Following the complaint, Hingna Police registered a case under Sections 454 and 457 of the BNS against unidentified persons. Investigations are underway to identify and trace the culprits.
