While Indian audiences have enjoyed television re-runs of this classic during the early 2000s, the film will now hit theaters on October 18, presented in stunning 4K resolution and available in four languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu.
Released by Geek Pictures India, AA Films, and Excel Entertainment, this beloved adaptation of the ancient Indian epic Ramayana will finally be shown on the silver screen, more than three decades after its initial release. Directed by Yugo Sako, Ram Mohan, and Koichi Sasaki, the film was first showcased at the 24th International Film Festival of India (IFFI). The screenplay for this epic adventure was crafted by celebrated Indian screenwriter V. Vijayendra Prasad.
